Over the years, as Managing Director of Accounting Technology, or Accountech as we are now known, I have seen many companies exposed to dangers through lack of control over the profitability and resources of their businesses. Many didn't have a hold on what was really going on in their organisation and didn't realise the financial tightrope they were walking.

As a Chartered Accountant, my mission has always been to help businesses. But my passion for IT has enabled me to empower directors and management with timely access to information to make informed decisions; decisions that have enabled them to grow their businesses in an efficient, controlled and profitable manner.

Nine years ago I scoured the market place, perhaps as you are doing now, for an accounting system that would help me to help these businesses that had aspirations for growth. I made the right choice; Access. It wasn't just the software that impressed me; it was their culture for innovation. Access continually launches new products; most recently FocalPoint project management.

Next I needed a Contact Relationship Management solution for my clients. Again I have made the right choice: ProspectSoft. The integration of ProspectSoft CRM with Access and other standard accounting systems, as well as ProspectSoft's mobile technology for remote workers have helped me to help my clients significantly improve and grow their businesses.

My real secret to success, though, is the Accountech team. Each member is an expert in their field. The technical expertise is outstanding. Training is continuous so that we can deliver the best to our customers. The proof; the Distinction earned for the Access Consultants Accreditation Programme (ACAP), a process that we adhere to no matter the software we are implementing. But we are most proud to have earned the Access Dealer Customer Service Award 2009 (having come second in 2008). We don't just say we put our clients first; we can prove it!
